The Mountain Escapes Management TeamMountain Escapes has been a family owned-and operated business since October of 2002. So don't be suprised when most of our management team shares the same last name. Since we value our relationship with you as a guest, a client, and a newfound "friend of the family", the below is a little inside into the lives of those who work here. Bryan McMillian: President, Property ManagerHaving been both a cabin owner, a cabin guest, a real estate investor, a long-term landlord, Bryan brings a well-rounded familiarity to the table. His management experience in restaurants throughout Georgia also gives him added experience in both business relationships, personnel management, and building a "winning" formula. He is a very personable, classy individual with a sense of humor and a desire to put forth a first-rate product "out on the field". He is very involved with promoting the Copper Basin area we live in, particularly the tourism market: Currently serving on the boards of the Polk County Chamber of Commerce, Tri-Cities Business Association, and the Ducktown Planning Commission. Bryan is also very active in his local church, among other community-progressive organizations and events. Bryan is responsible for sales and land-based arketing, maintenance operations, community affairs, and much more. Primarily, however, he is the main person behind the company's day-to-day operations and management. Bryan is a 1979 Graduate of Parkview High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Jeremy McMillian: Assistant Property ManagerJeremy's contribution to the "family business" is also unique. Before ME's inception, he was a freelance web developer, having earned various certifications within the web development industry and establishing a respectable portfolio of work for businesses all across the Southeast. So naturally, he has been ultimately responsible for the development, upkeep, and annual redesign of the company's website. He also has been involved with all other internet marketing efforts, such as email campaigns, toursim website advertisments, and others. While probably best known by ME's cabin owners for being the "website guy", Jeremy also has a significant hand in other operations as well. He has captained the company's cleaning staff for the past three years, managing all aspects of the department from personnel selection, inventory, workload distribution, and more. He also has served extensively within the company's day-to-day operations with Bryan. Jeremy is a 2006 graduate of Copper Basin High School, achieving Salutatorian status. He is a Sophomore Mathematics/Engineering Major at Cleveland State Community College. He plans to transfer to a senior institution in the fall to achieve a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering. Jacque McMillian, E.A. : CFOWhereas Bryan has brought sales and marketing experience to the company, Jeremy has brought his "web savvy", Jacque stands as the company's resident accountant. An Enrolled Agent with the IRS, Jacque owns and operates a fledging tax and accounting practice in Buford, Georgia. Her vast experience and tax "know-how" is nothing short of invaluable. Her expertise and advice has helped us to craft a successful financial strategy, and not to mention, making sure we're paying appropriate taxes. Jacque graduated from the Asher School of Business in Lilburn, Georgia. Steven McMillianSteven too has had "many" hats to wear while on staff. He's been involved in everything from maintenance and cabin cleaning to finanical reporting and day-to-day operations. Through many roles, he has been an important asset to ME. Steven is a freshman General-Transfer major at Cleveland State (Cleveland, TN). He plans to transfer in the fall to East Tennessee State University, where he will pursue a B.S. in Psychology. |
