Trip Planning: Policies

Cancellation Policy

15 or more days before scheduled check-in date: 100% refund (less 30 dollars).

14-0 days before scheduled check-in day: Deposit Forfeited.

If cancelling less than 48 hours within the date of arrival, the entire stay (less cleaning fee) will be charged.

If you cancel within 24 hours of the date of reservation, you will recieve a 100% refund minus $45.

We retain the right not to give refunds due to weather conditions, power outages, Acts of God, or early departures.

Postponments/Advancements are granted in special situations in wich you are certain that you are going to stay with us, but an unforseeable emergency situation has suddenly came up, preventing you from staying at your scheduled time. Common examples of this would include Hurricanes, family crisis, etc. In situations such as this, your deposit will be held and your reservation will be classified as "pending". As a courtesy to you, we do not charge for these types of situations. However, we do expect you to reschedule and the dates will be subject to present availability. Guests who opt to postpone have six months from the date of postponement to reschedule a new set of dates (as of 01/01/08). We also reserve the right to deny postponment requests.

Reservation and Payment Policy

Minumum stays: The minimum stay varies from property to property. Please ask a member of our office staff for more info.

Standard Payment Policy: The first night of the stay is charged up front as a minimum deposit or "down payment" via credit card. This deposit is applied to the balance as the first night. Upon the date of arrival, the balance (additional nights, cleaning fee, sales and use taxes, administrative fee) is charged. Guests may also wish to simply pay the sum of the charges up front, leaving no balance upon the date of arrival.

Checks, money orders, cash, or credit cards may be used for the balance. If you are mailing your balance, we ask that you please have it postmarked two weeks before scheduled arrival. Or, you simply may bring the balance with you and deliver it upon check-in.

We do allow some exceptions to this policy, but that is granted only on a case-by-case basis. Irregardless of how you pay, all guests are required to have a valid credit card on file for damage/liability purposes.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. If writing a check or money order, please make it out to Mountain Escapes Property Management.

Walk-ins are welcome, but can only be accommodated on a space-available basis.

Eviction Policy

Staying in a cabin is a privilege, not a right.

Out of respect for our property owners and the properties themselves, we cannot tolerate wild parties, loud and/or destructive guests, or any disturbances towards neighbors.

We retain the right to evict any guest that is causing a disturbance or being destructive.

The person who signed the rental rules agreement before arrival is responsible for everyone in the group.

We want you to have a fun, safe, and enjoyable time at your cabin. We just don't want it to take away from anyone else's fun, safety, or enjoyment. We hope you will understand our reasoning behind our tough stance on this policy.
