Horse Care

• If you bring your horse, for an extra $20 a day, it can join our horses for morning feeding, grooming and riding in the 100x200 ft outdoor arena.
  
   
• Dinner is served at 6PM
  
   
• Stalls are picked at breakfast and through out the day if the horses are in.
  
   
• Due to the variances in feed, please bring your own supplements / feed and hay for your horse's stay.
  
   
• All horses must have valid Coggins certificates
  
   
• Trails start from the farm property and can be explored on your own or D&D Trail Rides can provide a guided tour into the National forest

A comfortable, safe, sensible horse is the key to a great trail ride. Cohutta Stables offers quality, gaited trail horses for sale. Our goal is to help riders find the horse that will meet their individual needs so that they can enjoy years of great trail riding. We have a wide range of registered trail horses for sale that are known for that “smooth - no bounce” gait; i.e. Tennessee Walkers, Spotted Saddle Horses, Racking, and Nationalbred horses. We also have some super crosses i.e. Morgan/Walkers, Standerdbred/Walkers.

Gaited horses are becoming extremely popular as more and more people discover the joy of a smooth – no bounce ride. If you haven’t ridden a gaited horse yet and are in the market for a great trail horse – why settle. Once you ride a gaited horse – you’ll never go back. Whatever your discipline, western or english, trail riding, showing, field trials, driving, or plantation horses/hunting we can help you find a horse to suit your needs.

Cohutta Stables is located in the small town of Blue Ridge in the beautiful mountains of Northern Georgia – big horse country for gaited horses and some of the best trail riding ever. Blue Ridge is close to the Tennessee and North Carolina borders and only an hour and a half out of Atlanta. Our services include sales, training, riding lessons and boarding.
