Just the most perfect little place. As other reviewers have said, theres almost no reason to leave during your stay. It was more than we expected. The photos really dont do it justice. The cabin was very clean and so cute. The pond and the little stream leading to it was so pretty. We got up early and hiked at some of the nearby trails - The Old Copper Road trail and Goforth were beautiful. We brought our own oils and spices and cooked in the cabin every night. Had a blast and just the most relaxing place.

This was our first experience with AirBnB and we were not disappointed. As a family we agreed this was our best vacation yet. We will be booking this cabin again in the future. We loved the views from the house (at night you could see so many stars). The pond was fun to fish in (it was also really fun to see how many Koi we could find). The land/mountains in the back were awesome to explore especially not having to drive anywhere to do so. We enjoyed the hot tub every evening and the sound of the creek was so nice. We arrived to a clean cabin, they had plenty of extra blankets and various things that people commonly forget or might not think to bring. There were even things provided in case you bring pets. There is also a propane grill on the back balcony. We spent most of our time in or around the cabin and we have two kids that were highly entertained (ages 3 and 6).

Private, clean and so relaxing. We enjoyed our stay and cant wait to return. The cabin is so peaceful, especially enjoyed the hot tub and fire place and the sounds of the creek. Hiked Turtletown Falls which is nearby. Highly recommended!

Ducks Nest Retreat is an amazing location to "get away from it all." It is close enough to highly-rated restaurants and activities but it is also so secluded that we didnt see anyone all weekend (as we wanted). Instead, we did have a beautiful snowy day that we were able to enjoy from the hot tub. While it was 32 outside, the hot tub was a nice 104. If we turned off the jets, we were able to enjoy the sounds of the small fountain in the pond and the babbling brook. One day we decided to hike around the property and found some trails behind the back of the pond. These trails werent heavily used - as indicated by some overgrowth - but were clearly trails. There were some spectacular views and it was a nice opportunity to see some wildlife. We were careful not to disturb any plant growth and there were plenty of signs of deer in the vicinity. We brought our dog but she is very old and spent 99% of her time lying in front of the fire on her bed. However, if you have an active dog, ther

Not sure why anyone would ever give this place less than 5* rating! This isnt intended to be a Ritz Carlton! If you dont enjoy the smell of a cabin or a spider web here and there, then dont book a cabin in the woods! This place was everything my family needed, to just unwind and relax!!! The sounds of the creek, immediately relieved the tension and stress from the hectic lifestyle we live. It was clean! Yes, there were a few spider webs on the outside porch, which is expected! There was a smell when you walked in, but it is a cabin, in the woods! It does stay dark, so you can sleep in, without realizing you did! Yet, I wasnt trying to be on anyones schedule but my own!! We would recommend to others and we will book this home again!
