4 wheel drive or All wheel drive recommended for this property

If you want seclusion and a true mountain experience this cabin is the one. Get away from the hustle and bustle of your busy life and reconnect with nature.  You most likely won't have cell signal but there is wifi if you need to communicate with the outside world.  The road leading in the development is rather rugged but you shouldn't need 4wd.  We do recommend that you not drive low riding or under powered vehicles as there are ruts and a hill to climb to get the cabin. (* Small front wheel drive vehicles and mini vans do NOT do well on this driveway).  Sassafras Lookout backs up to the North Carolina line. This spectacular A-frame style cabins offers you peaceful relaxation in a breathtaking mountain setting and the ultimate in privacy—you won’t see another cabin, car or road in any direction. The large porch wrapping around the front of the cabin offers a view, gas grill seating to sit back and unwind to the soothing background of the sounds of nature.  This unique cabin has a open floor plan where the living area flows through the dining area and into the kitchen area.  The fully furnished kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.  The living area has tile floors, wood burning fireplace*, smart tv with internet reception (Roku, Netflix etc) while the bedrooms have bamboo flooring.  The master bedroom has a king size bed, it's own private bath, balcony, crib, and flat screen tv with dvd player (no reception).  On the main floor you'll find a bedroom with a queen bed and a balcony and a second bedroom with two twins.
*While you most likely won't have cell signal the cabin does have satellite wifi.*
* Firewood is not included in the price for the fireplace or the fire pit.  You can bring your own or we can deliver an ample supply for a weekend for $40 with at least 48 hours notice.

Bryans cabin has a stunning view! Its nice and secluded which offers a perfect excuse to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. It was very clean and tidy! If we are ever back up this way, we will definitely stay here again.

This place is exactly as it appears on the posting. Beautiful home, well appointed, spacious, clean. Solitary in the woods, so much so that when a single motorcycle drives by on a road more than a mile away you notice it as an anomaly. Well stocked with kitchen items so you can make most any meal. Washer and dryer work well, as do kitchen appliances. Fire pit outside and a hillside full of potential fuel for the fire. Gorgeous wrap-around raised deck with a view of the distant hills. Very steep driveway of loose gravel at the end of a winding gravel approach thats about 1.5 miles long. We drove a Toyota RAV4 and had no issues, even in rain. Getting from the main road to the house is less complicated than the directions we received, especially after we did it once. Program your GPS to Camp Reggae and then follow directions from there; worked like a charm. Dog friendly but you cant tell another pet was ever there. We let our city dog run free in the yard with the glass doors cracked

Nice, private cabin if youre looking for a quiet getaway. There is no service at this cabin and WiFi can be spotty so listen to the directions provided by the host. Cabin also can be a bit difficult to find and the driveway is rugged and can be hard to maneuver.

Wonderfully quiet and open. Was great for our family. Pay mind to the owners notes about the road up to the place.

This place was great! My friends and I used it as a perfect getaway to detach from our phones and just relax into the new incoming 2019. It was absolutely wonderful and though getting here was definitely a challenge, it was worth it for the views and the experience. Thank you so much Bryan for your hospitality and I definitely think well be back next year!

Amazing cabin. Very serene, peaceful area with great views. The drive in is a little tricky, definitely skip google/apple maps and use the directions they give you at check-in. The cabin is spacious, with a well-appointed kitchen. Everything was very clean and comfortable. I wish wed been able to stay longer than just a weekend.

Beautiful house with a great view all around. It has everything you need. A great place to get away from it all and relax. We were tempted to cancel all our plans and just stay at the house.

Cabin was extremely spacious and secluded, getting to the cabin wasnt very difficult but the steepness of the hill was a bit of a struggle to get up in the wet weather. The view was absolutely amazing, will definitely be back!

We had a great time at this cabin. The cabin is very secluded, making it a nice, quiet getaway for friends or family. The mountain views were beautiful to wake up to, and we really enjoyed the fire pit at night. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you might need for an enjoyable experience. The only downside is that it can be hard to find at night, and it does not have cable TV. The cabin has a Roku tv, but the WiFi was too poor to stream anything without constant buffering so its not the best setup if youre looking to stream live sports games. Otherwise, the cabin itself is fantastic. Thanks again!

We loved staying at Sassafras Lookout. It was perfect for our quiet getaway to the mountains for the weekend. We felt very secluded but safe. A hot tub would be great, but it has great porches and campfire pit. Beautiful view of the mountains and great for stargazing. Great open, clean and well stocked cabin. Food and clothes are all you need! No cell service but you do have wifi. The roads in the small development arent great but mgmt warns you of this in the description. Dont stop as you go up the driveway unless you have 4wd or all wheel drive or youll have to back back down. (mgmt warns you of this too in the directions). Dont use GPS either. Mgmt warns you of this too. Just trust what they say!LOL
