Aska Acres is the place to be!

The view in unbelievable, and well worth the drives up and down the mountain. The kitchen is well stocked and the bar area downstairs is a great place to hang out. The area has plenty to do provided youre willing to drive 15 minutes to an hour. Our favorites were: High Shoals Falls: A fairly easy hike to a great watering hole we went to the nearer one. Water is cold but you get used to it, and deep enough to jump from the top of the falls. Brasstown Bald: Great view from top of mountain, can drive or hike to top. Vogel State Park: Tough hike up the mountain, but worth it, plenty of rocks and creeks along the way. Roadside Distillery: Neat spot where you can get a free flight of samples your first time there, also has an ice cream shop, gift store, fudge, and rafting.

This place was great. Beautiful scenery, you have houses next to you, but you still have a sense of privacy. Bryan was super responsive and helpful when needed. House was clean and they have more than enough for you to just hang at the house.

Hawk Haven. First of all, if you are going to book this cabin do it through Mountain Escapes. Very nice folks that take great care of you. The cabin was found very clean and set up ready to go. The cabin is very big. The master bedroom is just that, a masterly large room. The master bath is large as well. Full size jetted tub and standalone shower. The Kitchen is roomy and has modern appliances. The two other beds rooms are small but comfortable. One is on the lower floor with a fullsize bath just across the hall. The third bedroom is upstairs and very private, also with a full bath, close. There is a small twin bed upstairs as well. The Hot tub is just outside the front door and will get up to temp of 104F, which is plenty hot enough. The hot tub is covered by a full roof and private from other cabins in the vicinity. There is a sauna on the front porch. The back yard has plenty of games, including horseshoes and cornhole. Parking enough for 3 cars on a flat surface and more on the hill. There is a locked gate for the driveway of the cabin. The living room has full satellite including movie channels and 4 shelfs of DVDs to watch. Look for deer on the property. During our stay we saw at least 8 on the edge of the property. One of the best cabins we have stayed in, in the Blue Ridge Area.
